I have a sound dock system that has bluetooth capabilities. I have been using this for years but suddenly now makes a muffling sound. I could hardly hear the words ad the volume is too low even if I max it up. Is this repairable?

Does this mean that you no longer do repairs or send Bluetooth modules for example? because I have a proposal to have 1 Bose Sounddock 10 broken down... So I'm wondering if it's still interesting... Hello, this video is very informative but hey for those who still use iPods it's a bit of a loss of the connector. I would have liked to have had an upgrade with an addition of Bluetooth while keeping the 30 pin connector lol after that we didn't have the link to buy the Bluetooth adapter that you present... I've got a Bose SounDock 10 that has worked GREAT for a number of years, and just stopped working, and I do believe its the power module as I get no beeps !!! I watched your video and started with the basics. The remote needs a new battery. I took a soft toothbrush and dry cleaned the iPod and base.

My Bose Soundock 2 plays a fully charged iPod Nano but will not charge it when the Bose is plugged in or on battery. The screen displays a message on the iPod that it is not supported. I also plugged into the audio plug on the back and it does not play there either. I have tried other players and Bluetooth connectors in the audio port and nothing works. What would be my problem and what is the most likly part i need to order. The docking pin is not loose and i have cleaned it as well so I need some feedback as to what my problem may be.

Hi, for me, some liquid got into the 30 pin conector, I think it did not got in the 30 conector on the base. So, now if I conect the stock adapter, both dock and Aux lights will blink erratically, until I unplug the 30 pin dock. Everything works great with Aux still sound big and loud and great. With this simptoms could it be only the dock and I will have to replace with the Bluetooth? I don’t want to buy the adapter without knowing something inside is broken. What do you think? Hi my sounddock series ii has power and the green light stays on. No sound and volumr buttons do nothing. I took it apart and all cables are attached. I'm thinking one of the ribbon cables is bad. Is it usually the cable from 30 pin to sound processor or the middle cable from processor to amplifier?

My Sounddock 2 doesn't have bluetooth built in. I've had to use a dongle since day dot.

What about the remote control- if the music is playing from a playlist, say, spotify, can I press next on the remote and change the song without touching the screen of the mobile device?

Very difficult to send. Not a good system.

Okay. I have replacement cable now and have power to the Bose. However, when I dock my Ipod, the menus start jumping around and then it basically locks up. It is fine if I connect via aux cable, so guess it is to do with the docking connection. Any ideas on this or how If you are able to repair this please.

Just one thing to note. I tried the cable from my Philips Boom box to see if that would work. It didn’t, but when I plugged my Boom Box back in that had stopped working as well. I replaced the fuse on my Boom Box and it is working again. I am not great at this, but should you check the voltage when trying out a replacement lead? Also, my Bose has no green light, so does that suggest the problem is somewhere in the cable?
